Translate text to Morse code and back
This Morse code converter turns plain text into dots and dashes, and decodes Morse code back into letters and numbers. The result updates as you type. It is useful for learning the Morse alphabet, making puzzles and games, checking a message from a class or hobby project, or just having fun with codes.
How to use it
- Pick a mode: Text → Morse or Morse → Text. Switching modes clears the input box.
- Type or paste your text or Morse code into the input box.
- Read the result in the Morse Code or Decoded Text panel and click Copy to copy it.
- Click Show Morse Code Reference to open a chart of every letter and digit.
How it works
The tool uses the international Morse code table for the letters A to Z and the digits 0 to 9. Text is changed to upper case first, so "sos" and "SOS" give the same result. In the output, letters are separated by a single space and words by a slash with spaces around it.
For example, HELLO WORLD becomes:
.... . .-.. .-.. --- / .-- --- .-. .-.. -..
When decoding, the tool splits words on / and letters on single spaces, then looks up each code. Any code it does not know is shown as ?. Conversion runs in your browser, and nothing is saved.

Tips
